Bui Hoang Nguyen is a MSc engineer specializing in civil engineering. After graduation from the National University of Civil Engineering in Vietnam in 2006, he pursued the professional Master of Reinforced and Pre-stressed Concrete Structures in CHEBAP – CHEC (Centre des Hautes Etudes de la Construction) and obtained with the highest distinction.

He worked for the Paris-Ouest Construction Group for a year and a half (July 2007 to December 2008). During that period, he helped make several projects of buildings in Ile-de-France come true. He also was in charge of supervising engineering and design performances of the group’s subcontractors.

In late 2008, he decided to conquer a new field of construction of nuclear power plants by joining SOFINEL, a nuclear engineering affiliate of EDF Group and AREVA NP. He had worked with the steelworks team of the EPR Olkiluoto 3 project and later, of the EPR Taishan 1 & 2 project before he was entrusted with civil engineering activities of the reactor building under the EPR Taishan 1 & 2 project. Since, he has piloted the civil works, steel works, finishing works as well as some safety studies and in interface with various actors of the project (SOFINEL’s services, AREVA NP, Civil work designers, Suppliers, etc.) and with the construction site in China.
